Photo feature: Ebola tales from Guinea

    More than 3,600 people have fallen sick with Ebola in Guinea since the outbreak was first declared in March 2014. At least 2,423 of them have died.

    Despite the recent slowdown in the number of new cases, the outbreak is not over. There were nine reported cases during the week ending 24 May, according to the latest data from the World Health Organization. 

    Even in areas of the country, such as Guinea’s southeastern forest region, which has been Ebola-free since January, the impact of the deadly virus is still being felt.
