South Africa’s Deputy President, Thabo Mbeki, has promised to review the compulsory repatriation of illegal Mozambican immigrants from South Africa. Radio Mozambique reported on Tuesday that Mbeki made the pledge during a meeting with a Mozambican delegation led by Prime Minister Pascoal Mocumbi. Radio Mozambique quoted Finance Minister Tomas Salomao as saying that the meeting was part of regular consultations between the two countries to assess economic cooperation.
