US training of Nigerian military to be streamlined

Defence Minister Theophilus Danjuma has told reporters in Lagos that the ongoing training of Nigerian troops by the US military would be reviewed to harmonise the different military orientations of the two armies, PANA reported on Monday. The Nigerian military is modeled after Britain’s and, Danjuma said, the review would ensure that differences in outlook did not affect the overall objectives of the US trainers.
