Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos held talks here on Monday with visiting Portuguese Foreign Affairs Minister Jaime Gama, which focused on the current bilateral relationship between the two countries, local media reported on Tuesday. Gama told journalists that he “was sure that through his visit to Angola the relations between the two countries will be reinforced in both the political and economic fields”. Commenting on Angola’s civil war, Gama said Angola had undertaken a stabilization in the military field over the past few years, which he believed would continue.
