The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development has rejected a request to further devalue the Zimbabwe dollar, the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) said on Tuesday. The ZBC said that there were requests for the currency to be devalued to a level close to 60 Zimbabwe dollars per one United States dollar. Meanwhile, the reserve bank was quoted as saying that any devaluation of the dollar will immediately mean an increase in the price of fuel, electricity and consequently a rise in the price of goods and commodities.
