President Paul Kagame left Kigali on Sunday for the United States on an official visit. He is scheduled to hold talks on Tuesday with President George W. Bush.
"I expect to discuss a wide range of issues with President Bush focusing on bilateral relations between our two countries and peace and security in the Great Lakes region, which the US administration has been following closely. We shall also discuss trade and development, education and the effect of HIV/AIDS on Rwanda," a government statement issued in the capital, Kigali, on 28 February quoted Kagame as saying.
