Workplace HIV/AIDS discrimination rife

    JOHANNESBURG

    The International Labour Organisation (ILO) on Monday warned that HIV/AIDS discrimination in the workplace was "rampant" around the world.

    In its new "Time for Equality at Work" report, ILO said while blatant types of discrimination were fading, "more insidious forms" had emerged.

    "There is not one country in the world that can say it is free of this problem," the report author, Manuela Tomei, said in a statement.

    ILO also warned that failure to tackle the problem would have disastrous social, political and economic effects.
