Youth summit opens in the US

    NAIROBI

    A summit which brought together some 40 Burundi youth from within the country and abroad opened on Friday in Washington DC, US, AFP reported. The three-day meeting was backed by the Institute for Multi-Track Diplomacy, a non-profit group, Africare and the Washington DC city government. The conference focused on the search for peace for ethnic conflict between Hutus and Tutsis, AFP quoted the organisers as saying.
