Spain to support provision of solar energy

    ABIDJAN

    The Spanish government is to provide Ghana with a US $15-million loan for the installation of solar systems in the country, the state-owned 'Daily Graphic' newspaper reported the national project director of the Renewable Energy Services Project, Clement Abavana, as saying on Monday.

    Abavana made the announcement at the opening of a week-long workshop in the northern town of Tamale on the installation, service and maintenance of solar systems, which are to be installed in schools, clinics and water pumping stations. The systems are to be used for irrigation and other purposes in rural and urban areas.
