Members of the Organisation for African Unity’s conflict resolution committee began meeting on 17 May in Lome, Togo, to discuss the fighting between Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia as well as the Great Lakes crisis. A ministerial meeting held on Thursday will be followed on 18-19 May by a summit, which several heads of states from the 17 countries on the committee are expected to attend.
