Plateau State clashes claim 14 lives

A resurgence of communal clashes in central Plateau State has left more than a dozen people dead, ‘The Guardian’ of Lagos reported on Friday. The violence between members of the Tiv and Kwala ethnic groups left scores of houses destroyed and up to 14 people dead, the daily said. The fighting, which began on Tuesday, was reportedly sparked by a land dispute. Earlier in April up to 10 people died in clashes between the two communities.
