The Congolese Liberation Front (CLF) has appointed two deputy provincial governors to represent the rival Hema and Lendu communities in the northeast province of Ituri, according to rebel-controlled Bunia radio in northeastern DRC. Imana Ingulu, CLF national secretary, announced the appointments, which took effect on Friday 23 February, of Ruhingwa Baguma and Emile Tchopa Goshelo Yochi after considering recommendations from the Hema and Lendu communities, the report stated. The statutes appointing the two men were signed by CLF leader Jean-Pierre Bemba.
