    Ruling party youths assaulted two cabinet ministers in the deepening
    controversy over whether Zambian President Frederick Chiluba should amend the constitution and run for a third term, the state-owned 'Times of Zambia' reported on Monday. Agriculture Minister Sureshi Desai and Legal Affairs Minister Vincent Malambo were attacked at a Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) conference in Monze, southwest of Lusaka, after a local party official tore up a pro-third term banner allegedly on the orders of one of the ministers. Chiluba, who was at the conference, condemned the violence.
