Caprivi secessionists in court

    JOHANNESBURG

    The last group of Caprivi secessionist appeared in the Grootfontien Magistrate court on Monday, pleading not guilty, ‘The Namibian’ said on Tuesday. The 18 men were to told to answer to 265 charges ranging from high treason, sedition and attempted murder. The group included alleged Caprivi Liberation Army commander John Samboma and other suspected leading figures in a claimed plot to split the Caprivi Region from Namibia. The case against the others was postponed to 9 April pending further investigation and possibly for the Prosecutor General to decide on the further prosecution of the suspects.
