The main opposition party in Zimbabwe, the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) said it is to go ahead with plans for mass action, the official 'Herald' said on Wednesday. MDC spokesman David Coltart was quoted as saying: "The mass action is still on the MDC agenda. It never fell off the agenda, but was postponed. The MDC policy is for a peaceful mass action.
It will be focused on the restoration of the rule of law in the country and against the delinquency of the government." The MDC last December abandoned plans for a mass action. In response to the statement Minister of State for Information Jonathan Moyo, said: "They are in for a rude awakening. They can't have a mass action when they don't have the masses. They are confusing mass action with mass defeat, like what they have just suffered in Bikita."
