The WFP and the Eritrean Refugee and Relief Commission (ERREC) have prepared plans for the distribution of food to approximately 80,000 Eritrean refugees expected to return home from Sudan. The returnees would be relocated in the Forto and Dige areas of western Eritrea, WFP stated in a report on Friday. The returnees would bring with them non-food items supplied by UNHCR in Sudan, it added. WFP said a major concern was to have adequate supplies in stock for the returnees ahead of the rainy season, which would make further deliveries increasingly difficult.
