International business has remained optimistic about future economic growth in Mozambique, the latest Africa Competitiveness Report says. The report was released earlier this week in Durban at the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) 10th annual southern Africa Summit.
Mozambique was rated 18th out of 24 on the African competitiveness rankings, moving up one position from last year. It was placed third on the improvement and optimism index. The main reasons for the optimism was a stable economic and political environment combined with structural reforms.
