Armed police on Friday surrounded the home of Nigeria's Senate President Chuba Okadigbo, who has been at loggerheads with President Olusegun Obasanjo, news organisations reported.
The two men have had a long-running dispute over constitutional issues which became public on 29 May, the first anniversary of the country's return to democratic rule.
Police moved on Okadigbo's home after he adjourned the Senate on Wednesday until July, prompting members of the chamber to demand his removal.
