UNICEF vaccination campaign

A 15-day campaign to vaccinate some 160,000 children under five and 225,000 women of child-bearing age began on Wednesday in Freetown, UNICEF reported. The vaccinations include five antigens and Vitamin A.

UNICEF has continued to supply safe drinking water to the IDP camps in Freetown and, in conjunction with OXFAM, is to provide additional sanitation facilities in an IDP camp in nearby Lungi. This includes the construction of 10 public and 10 semi-permanent latrines, and the supply of 15,000 gallons of potable water, OCHA reported.
