The President of Angola, Jose Eduardo Dos Santos, has again accused neighbouring Zambia of helping the UNITA rebels fighting his government, Angolan news reports said on Thursday.
Speaking to journalists, President dos Santos said that some elements in Zambia wanted to maintain a climate of tension between the two countries. Dos Santos warned the Zambian authorities not to give any more aid to UNITA. Relations between the two countries have become increasingly tense in the past month since Zambia accused Angola of carrying out ground and air
attacks inside its territory.
