MPs visit refugee camps in Kigoma

    NAIROBI

    Nine members of Tanzania’s parliamentary foreign affairs committee were currently visiting refugee camps in Kigoma region, UNHCR’s head of sub-office in the town, Marion Roche, told IRIN on Wednesday. “The visit is not related to anything in particular, but was in the pipeline and had been planned since February,” she explained. “They have basically come to see the camps for themselves,” she added. The MPs arrived in the area on Monday and were scheduled to end their visit on Thursday, Roche added.
