The Angolan armed forces chief of staff, Joao de Matos, said yesterday that there was a possibility of Angolan officers being trained in South Africa, news reports said. He was speaking at the end of a visit to Angola by his South African counterpart.
“We are studying these aspects. We are open to a multi-faceted cooperation with the South African armed forces. We will continue to discuss these questions and later we will put forward some proposals to the government,” the Angolan general said.
