The Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) on Wednesday condemned the continued detention without charges of a newspaper editor, Abdoul Kouyateh, and accused the government of becoming “repressive,” AFP reported on Wednesday.
“We are yet to understand how a government drawing its legitimacy from a democratic process can suddenly metamorphose into a repressive regime as is now the case of the detained editor,” AFP reported the SLAJ as saying in a statement.
