President Bill Clinton has authorised the Defence Department to provide up to US $20 million in defence goods and services to help the UN and other international forces stabilise the situation, the US Information Agency reported on Friday.
The aid will include military transport, services, equipment and other supplies to give the international community the “capabilities it urgently needs”, Clinton said in a statement.
