Fears that conflict will spill over

    NAIROBI

    Sudan has called on both Ethiopia and Eritrea to exercise self-restraint and use peaceful means to solve the conflict, reports Sudan state news agency. External Releations Minister Dr Mustafa Osman Isma’il said the effects of the war would not be confined to the two countries, but that they would spill over to neighbouring countires, including Sudan. In a report monitored by BBC, the minister said Sudan would continue to be in contact with the two countries and would “exert utmost efforts for ending the military operations and returning anew to the negotiating table”.
