Kisangani reported quiet

The fighting between Rwandan and Ugandan troops in Kisangani, the third largest city in Congo, has been in abeyance since Friday night, according to officials from both countries. “Since the President (Yoweri Museveni) ordered our forces to stop fighting, we have not received any reports of clashes,” the Press Secretary to the Ugandan President, Hope Kivengere, told IRIN. Major Ndahiro of Rwanda confirmed the cessation of hostilities. “Since Saturday there has not been any fighting, due to orders given by sides to the effect that commanders should stop the fighting,” he said.
