Negotiations for release of aid workers continue

Negotiations for the release of four aid workers abducted last week in the Fanjak area of Sudan's Upper Nile region are "still going on", a UN official in Khartoum told IRIN on Wednesday. "We hope that they will be released either today [Wednesday] or Thursday," she said. She said the abductees, an American, two Kenyans and a Sudanese were "fine" and "well taken care of". Following the abduction, the UN suspended aid flights to Upper Nile region on Monday.
