Ahmed Ould Tegueddi, a 45-year-old career diplomat who had headed the Mauritanian interests section in Tel Aviv, has been appointed Mauritania's ambassador to Israel, AFP reported on Monday. His counterpart at the Israeli interests section in Nouakchott, Freddy Eytan, was appointed ambassador to Mauritania on 2 December, AFP reported. The two countries agreed on 28 November to establish full diplomatic relations.
