Togo has decided to extend the closing time of its side of the border with Ghana from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. (18:00 to 22:00 GMT), GBC radio reported from the Ghanaian capital, Accra. The decision follows a two-day tour of some border points by delegations from both countries. The radio quoted the Togolese minister of interior and decentralisation, General Sizing Walla, as saying that daily border crossings had increased from 2,000 to 8,000 people.
