The Senate voted Chuba Okadigbo its new president on Thursday, following the impeachment of Evasn Enwerem, news reports said. His impeachment came on the eve of the national convention of his party, the ruling People’s Democratic Party. Senators forced him out after local media reported that he had lied about his age and educational credentials to qualify for the post.
