New DRC preferential trade agreement

The Zimbabwe Inter-African News Agency (ZIANA) reported on Thursday that Zimbabwe would sign a preferential trade agreement before the end of the year for the duty-free export of Zimbabwean products to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). In recent months, it said the government and the business community had been working to increase trade with the DRC, where Zimbabwe has deployed troops, heavy armour and aircraft to support President Laurent-Desire Kabila against rebels fighting to overthrow him.
