Outside lawyers to argue election challenge

The Malawi government and the opposition have indicated they would seek the help of top British lawyers, or other foreigner legal experts to argue their cases over an opposition challenge to the results of the June election, PANA news agency reported on Friday. In a brief dispatch, it said Justice Minister and Attorney General Peter Fachi, and an opposition alliance comprising the Malawi Congress Party and the Alliance for Democracy, were consulting foreign legal experts with a view to seeking their counsel at a hearing still to be scheduled.
