Members of the Namibian Defence Force (NDF) who allegedly perpetrated human rights violations in the northwestern Caprivi region could go unpunished, news reports said on Wednesday.
Defence spokesman Vincent Mwange was quoted in 'The Namibian' as saying that "at the moment no steps are being taken against the perpetrators." He added: "If ever anything will be done, it will be internal disciplinary action. They will be subjected to the military disciplinary code, which is not for public consumption."
