Mauritius, India pledge new investment

The Botswana Export Development and Investment Authority has said that five Indian and Mauritian companies have pledged to invest in Botswana and help create thousands of new jobs before the end of the year, according to news reports on Wednesday. The authority was set up 10 months ago to woo new investors to Botswana where the unemployment rate among the 1.5 million population is 35 percent.
