Angolans launch peace manifesto

Thousands of Angolans are expected to sign a peace manifesto launched in Luanda, the BBC reported on Friday. The maifesto called on the government and the UNITA rebel movement to agree to an "immediate ceasefire." It also called on the two to establish a humanitarian corridor so that aid workers can reach people trapped by fighting. According to media reports the organisers hope to have 10,000 signatures within a month.
