The allied forces of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) on Monday handed over 20 POWs to the Congolese Armed Forces, DRC state television reported. The report said most of the prisoners - 17 Congolese and three Angolan UNITA members - were captured in various operational areas. Some of them surrendered as they fled the "intrigues and atrocities
meted out to them by Rwandans".
