EU pledges US $6 million for rural development

    JOHANNESBURG

    The European Union (EU) has pledged more than US $6 million for rural development projects in Mozambique's northern province of Cabo Delgado, news reports said.

    The funding will be used to revive the ailing cashew nut industry and to fund education and health initiatives in the impoverished Nangade district, the heart of the province.
