Displaced farmworkers demand compensation

    JOHANNESBURG
    The General Agricultural Plantation Workers’ Union of Zimbabwe (GAPWUZ) have lodged a complaint with the government for compensation for farm workers displaced by the land resettlement programme. ‘The Financial Gazette’ quoted GAPWUZ lawyer, Innocent Gwisai as saying: “We are instituting a claim against the government for loss of earnings by workers through no fault of theirs and also for a share in the resettlement programme.”
