The Southern African Development Community (SADC) has decided to use national armies to minimise the effects of the Y2K millennium computer problem.
The resolution, for the military to give back-up assistance in case of disaster was made at a two-day meeting of the SADC Y2K National Coordinators held in Lusaka this week, the Zambian ‘Daily Mail’ reported.
