Zimbabwe to help train Lesotho soldiers

    Zimbabwean troops are to help train Lesotho soldiers under a Southern African Development Community (SADC) initiative. According to the South African Press Association (SAPA), Lesotho Prime Minister Pakalitha Mosisili made the announcement in the National Assembly on Wednesday. SAPA quoted Mosisli as saying that the initial intervention by SADC troops to restore order last year had been successfully completed. He added that SADC forces were now in Lesotho for the purpose of “training and developing” the Lesotho Defence Force.
