A Namibian soldier died on Friday from injuries sustained in southern Angola, the Namibian news agency reported.
The unnamed trooper and an Angolan soldier were caught in a bomb blast in the border region. The Angolan soldier survived the explosion. The Namibian Defence Force set up camps in southern Angola earlier this year to stem raids by suspected UNITA rebels. However, according to the news agency, attacks on Namibian border villages and cattle rustling continues.
