New food relief

The United States is to provide Mozambique with US $5.5 million to provide 23,000 mt of wheat for victims of floods which ravaged the country earlier this year.

A foreign ministry statement reported by PANA said the funds would also be used to improve rural household revenues and promote food security. Meanwhile France has disbursed the equivalent of US $210,000 for post-flood reconstruction. The French embassy said the support would boost public administration, health, education and rural development.
