NHS an obstacle in Africa's AIDS fight

    The UK's National Heath Service is hampering Africa's HIV/AIDS battle by recruiting the continent's medics, British MPs charged on Tuesday. According to the country's Sun newspaper, the Public Accounts Committee for the House of Commons also expressed concern that cash was not being spent wisely to tackle the pandemic abroad. Ministers have pledged just over US $2.8 million towards combating HIV/AIDS in developing countries over the next three years. House of Commons chairman Edward Leigh claimed the international response to the epidemic was "far too slow".
