The Ethiopian Ministry of Health has announced plans to launch an HIV/AIDS publication in the first few weeks of May.
According to the ministry, preparation for launching the "AIDS in Ethiopia 2004" overview had taken more than ten months.
The resource will make available information about the current status of the epidemic, including the latest figures on the number of people living with HIV/AIDS throughout the country.
The ministry was quoted by a local newspaper, The Daily Monitor, as saying: "It helps the government to design various strategic means to strengthen the ongoing campaign against the epidemic. It will also give updated information about HIV/AIDS in the country."
