Government to begin HIV/AIDS-related TB treatment

    JOHANNESBURG

    The government has launched a new programme to treat HIV/AIDS-related tuberculosis (TB), local newspaper The Times of Zambia reported on Wednesday.

    Health Minister Brian Chituwo said the Zambia HIV/AIDS Related TB (ZAMBART) programme was a concrete step to tackle HIV/AIDS-related TB deaths.

    "The government will roll-out that programme to all health centres in the country. A reduction in TB deaths will be a reduction in AIDS deaths," Chituwo said at the weekend.
