Japanese aid for teaching hospital

The Japanese government has donated medical equipment worth some 60 million CFA (US $85,000) to a teaching hospital in the capital Dakar, 'Le Soleil' reported on Tuesday. The aid will help improve patient care which in turn will help reduce patient mortality rates and the length of hospital stays, Health Minister Awa Marie Coll Seck said at a ceremony on Friday attended by the Japanese Ambassador, Akihito Furuya.
