India donates water pumps to Volta region

India has donated 75 water pumps with pipes and a motorbike to Ghana's Volta region, eastern Ghana, news organisations reported on Wednesday. According to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), "the pumps are meant for needy people living in rural areas who lack potable water, while the motorbike will enable and facilitate some official duties to be carried out within the district". The items were handed over to Ghana's Volta Regional Minister, Kwasi Owusu-Yeboa, by the Indian High Commissioner to Ghana, Arun Kumar Banerjee.
