Rebels stage another attack in southern Angola

    JOHANNESBURG

    Suspected UNITA rebels have staged their third attack this week in southern Angola, this time on the rural district of Dongo in Huila province, state radio reported on Thursday. The report gave no indication of any casualties from the attack, which followed UNITA’s mortar attack on Kuito, 700 km south of Luanda, on Monday. On Sunday, one person died in another UNITA attack on a botanic garden in Sailundo, just outside Kuito.
