Peacekeepers to Congo, East Timor

    JOHANNESBURG
    Two Mozambican senior military officers are set to join UN peacekeepers in the Congo as observers, President Joaquim Chissano said on Wednesday. AP reported that Mozambique is also to send 10 military police officers to East Timor to replace the 10 Mozambicans who have completed their mission with the UN force there, Chissano said. The peacekeepers were due to leave Maputo this week.
