Fleeing Angolans to be given safe refuge

    JOHANNESBURG

    Namibian soldiers in the northern border town of Rundu were on Tuesday expected to hand over about 50 Angolans found in the combat zone in southern Angola to UNHCR, 'The Namibian' reported. An immigration official was quoted as saying that the people were Angolans who had asked Namibian soldiers to take them to the Osire refugee camp. 'The Namibian' said the soldiers came across the asylum seekers during one of their cross-border raids in pursuit of suspected UNITA rebels.
